Choose Type if you have a company with departments and want the AI work they already do to be shared, on the subscriptions your team already pays for.
Choose AEQI if the departments don’t exist yet, and you want a website today and a team that finds leads and writes the emails for you to approve.
What Type is
Type launched publicly on 9 September 2026 as “a shared workspace for Claude and Codex”, from the founders of Halp, the Slack helpdesk Atlassian acquired in 2020. Its unit is a Space — in Type’s words, “a shared computer for a department”. Each Space runs Claude or Codex with the department’s tools, a memory, skills and automations, used from Slack, a Mac app or the web. In mid-September, Basic was $50 a month, Pro $100, and Enterprise from $250.

Type is the better choice when
- You have departments — marketing, support, growth, finance — and want the AI work each one does to be visible and shared, not stuck in private chats.
- Your team already pays for Claude or ChatGPT and wants to keep using those plans instead of a new one.
- You want AI inside Slack and a Mac app, with over 900 connectors.
AEQI is the better choice when
- There is no marketing or support team yet to give a Space to: you are starting the company.
- You want your website today at yourname.aeqi.ai, and a team with one job each that finds leads and writes the emails.
- You want every email and post to wait for you to approve, edit or skip it.
- You want your company on a server of its own, hosted in Germany.
