The landscape
A category map for agent tools, work systems, entity setup, ownership records, governance infrastructure, and the Company OS layer.

The market around company building is not one market.
It is a stack of categories that each picked a different center.
Agent frameworks center the worker.
Project tools center the task.
Entity-setup products center the filing.
Ownership and governance tools center the record.
aeqi centers the TRUST.
That difference matters because agentic work exposes the gap between tools that manage fragments of a company and infrastructure that can make the programmable company itself operational.
The agent layer
Agent frameworks like LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, and ElizaOS answer a real question: how do we build software labor that can plan, call tools, inspect context, and produce work?
Important. Also incomplete.
A worker is not the same thing as the TRUST around the worker. The missing questions are institutional: what role requested the work, what authority it carried, what decision it changed, what the company should remember, what happens next.
Without that frame, every founder has to rebuild the operating context around the agent by hand.
The work layer
Task boards, docs, spreadsheets, chats, and wikis are where young companies usually begin. Linear for tickets. Notion for context. Slack for chat. Google Drive for files.
They assume the company already exists somewhere else. The founder is the connective tissue.
A task board shows work without knowing why the work matters. A document holds a decision without becoming company memory. A chat thread moves fast without preserving authority.
This is the category boundary. Work tools manage the surface area of execution. They do not create the TRUST context that makes execution accountable.
The records layer
Ownership and governance systems — Stripe Atlas, Carta, Pulley, Aragon, Snapshot, Safe — are necessary once a company has decisions, stakeholders, commitments, and control surfaces to track.
Most of them arrive after the operating truth has already been created elsewhere.
The work happened in one place. The context lived in another. The decision was discussed in a third. The official record comes later and asks humans to reconcile what the company already did.
Records without operating context become administrative truth instead of company truth.
The map
- Agent tools center the worker — but the worker needs a company.
- Work tools center the task — but the task needs authority and memory.
- Entity tools center recognition — but recognition needs motion.
- Record tools center administration — but administration needs operating truth.
- Protocol tools center rules — but rules need TRUST context.
aeqi is the category that starts from the company and pulls the layers inward. In aeqi, that programmable company is a TRUST: an operating context where humans set direction, agents execute, memory compounds, and deeper authority can live near the work.
The landscape keeps separating these concerns because its products were built before agents made execution feel abundant. Once execution becomes programmable, the scarce object is not a better task board or another worker. The scarce object is the TRUST that can use them.
The TRUST is the primitive because every other layer needs somewhere to land.
Everything else in this map is a feature. The TRUST is the product.
