What Pi is

Pi describes itself as an “AI agent toolkit: unified LLM API, agent loop, TUI, coding agent CLI”. It is open source under the MIT license, from earendil-works: a coding agent CLI, a runtime for tool execution, a layer that talks to several model vendors, and a terminal interface. The core is small on purpose — a short system prompt, a few base tools (read, write, edit, shell) and skills that load only when needed. There is no subscription; you bring your own model API key.
